The Startup Mahakumbh promises to be a landmark event, attracting over 3,000 startups, more than 1,000 investors, 500+ speakers, and over 15,000 delegates and business visitors worldwide. The event will feature masterclasses, knowledge sessions, and networking forums designed to stimulate innovation and inspire the next generation of entrepreneurs. To bolster India’s startup ecosystem, Goyal announced a significant challenge fund totaling Rs 70 crore at the second edition of Startup Mahakumbh 2025. This initiative is designed to foster the growth of new startups by providing substantial monetary and strategic support.

India’s startup ecosystem spotlight
The competition invites applications from DPIIT-recognized startups in their early or growth stages and actively operating within Indian markets. Shortlisted startups will benefit from access to sector-specific mentorship programs, and the top 150 startups will earn the opportunity to pitch their ideas to a Grand Jury at Startup Mahakumbh 2025.
Winners will receive a comprehensive support package that includes funding, business grants, and corporate credits. Additionally, they will benefit from non-monetary assets such as mentoring, networking opportunities, and exposure to investors, policymakers, and industry leaders. Tribal entrepreneurs also showcased innovative ventures at the StartUp Mahakumbh, addressing challenges in remote regions while preserving cultural heritage.

Highlights included Lalthla Muani’s Eco Far, which promoted wild green tea, Hercules Munda’s Trilingo app for tribal language learning, and Rinzing Choden Bhutia’s Agapi natural products, which supported rural women.
